Checks passed

Fixed specimens: 39/48 acceptance. Two fixed-seed scenes replay exactly; final S5 ceiling violations: 0. These are model checks, not field accuracy.

Final state, 29 Sep 2026

Stand density corrected (SDImax was per acre, read per hectare); crowded clear bole now sits inside Lewis's band, with nothing tuned. Every tree is scored against the USFS FVS-AK Sitka crown-ratio equation (mean gap 0.08). Broken tops fork from the uppermost live whorl. The forest floor follows canopy cover (Alaback 1984) with logs and nurse-log seedlings. Ledger.

Known gaps

Open-grown trees self-prune higher than FVS-AK and the age plate allow (needs a two-stream light law). The 90-year stand is under-closed, so its floor is greener than stem exclusion would allow. No epicormic shoots yet.

Coupled candidate failed

Seed 11111111: young trees 2,278 → 244; old trees 46 → 4. Living stems at 5/10/20-year steps: 9,107 / 8,824 / 8,180.

Field data audited

TV010 v28 has 6,563 good Sitka DBH intervals and 684 census-bounded deaths at Cascade Head. X/Y pairs are absent, but CH10 recruit notes give selective relative distances. Full neighbour release and exact births/deaths remain unknown. Field ledger.
